Rare, pre-owned, excellent condition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel reference 25686BA/O/0944BA/01 18k Yellow Gold gents wristwatch. Gold dial with gold applied baton hour markers, the Quantième Perpétuel which translates to perpetual calendar in English, features month, day and date display, with position of the leap year cycle, an 18k Yellow Gold 39mm octagonal case, bezel, winder, integrated bracelet and deployant clasp, sapphire crystal glass and automatic movement.

This rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Quantieme Perpetual 25686BA was introduced in 1989 and only a limited 233 pieces were ever made. Of the 233 pieces, only 70 were produced in 18k Yellow Gold like our example. Making this 1 of 70.

The octagonal case and integrated bracelet is based on the original ultra thin Gerald Genta design AP Royal Oak released in 1972 (reference 5402). Whilst it's not the first AP Royal Oak Perpetual - and that trophy will always be held by the 25554 introduced in 1984, it still a very early model introduced in 1989, also being one of the first with sapphire crystal case back meaning it will always hold a special place in history.
