Pre-owned, excellent condition Audemars Piguet 18k Yellow Gold & 18k White Gold unisex wristwatch, circa 1970s, with an integrated Gerald Genta bracelet.

The watch features a brushed gold dial with applied gold 'AP' initials at 12 o'clock, housed in an 18k Yellow & White Gold dodecagon-shaped, 12-sided case measuring 31.5mm.

The bezel is primarily formed in 18k White Gold with a woven rope-effect finish, punctuated by 12 contrasting 18k Yellow Gold markers at each hour. Together, these details create the celebrated Audemars Piguet ‘Bamboo’ effect. An 18k Yellow Gold crown and an 18k White Gold solid caseback further enhance the charm of the alternating gold design.

Uniquely, the integrated 18k Yellow & White Gold bracelet is signed ‘GG’ rather than ‘AP’, confirming its design by the iconic Gerald Genta, renowned for his highly sought-after work with Audemars Piguet throughout the 1970s.

The bracelet is composed of seven rows of intertwining links, each row moving independently yet secured at intervals along either side by polished gold bars. This construction gives the impression of multiple woven strands being drawn together, reinforcing the bracelet’s distinctive rope-like or bamboo aesthetic. 

Finished with sapphire crystal glass and manual-wind movement. This watch has a B serial, dating production to the 1970s. This watch will fit a wrist up to 18.5cm.
